Violent protests in Hamburg ahead of the G20 summit. The police have intervened with water cannons and the conflicts broke out during the meeting between Donald Trump and Angela Merkel.
On Thursday night, law enforcement officers intervened in the German city of Hamburg to disperse thousands of violent protesters before the G20 meeting, according to N-TV.
Authorities used water cannons and asked peaceful demonstrators to move away from violent protesters.
A police representative, Timo Zill, estimated that around 12,000 protesters are being assembled in Hamburg.
