If governments were on the blockchain like steemit

Can you imagine if governments and all the funding was done on the block-chain. You would probably see far less corruption, especially if all emails were there for everyone to see. 

What kind of changes would you expect to see if governments were completely transparent? We see where all transactions go to and come from. If countries ran on blockchain technology taxes would be unnecessary for the most part.
