Can Theresa May become the next prime minister of England?
Like Trump, like Brexit, like bitcoin. The underdog challenges the system, for good or bad. Opinion polls have Theresa May leading the labour rival Jeremy Corbyn by a historic amount in the upcoming election in the UK .
Amongst a shockingly bias media campaign, Theresa may should have the election stitched up. Even traditional labour seats in mining towns are (turning)[https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2017/apr/23/general-election-2017-six-battlegrounds-could-shape-vote] conservative: as a vote for hard brexit; a vote for tightening immigration; a vote of fear and prejudice - flee UKIP.
Can she get away with it: its not like Theresa is helping herself with the latest manifesto promising:
- to legalise fox hunting
- take away free school meals for poor pupils
- make pensioners pay for social care
Just who is this appealing to?
Could we be seeing a new era in English politics?
