in our world we have many types of societies some are open dialogue societies that encourage friction between ideas (in universities for example) and thus sparked a philosophical an political developement and we have theological societies where people tend to follow a cult leader or a religeous movement like iran under the "guidance" of Imam Khomeini.
We can easily determine the end result in developent of such different societies and there is a common consent to say that societies with open dialogue tend to develop faster and change for the better.
to me the internet is like water it infiltrates even the hardest of rocks given the necessary time.
those societies thaugth to be hermetically sealed to any change couldn't stop the Bytes to circulate throu radio waves, cables,
and sim cards or other devices bringing with them new ideas, visions of other people and other ways of life thus challenging the dominant thinking. the unfair fight begun.
leading science and philosophy, the first world ideological concepts,trained and challenged for centuries shattered the old concepts of recluse societies, making them leaders in generating ideas and new paths for our societies to follow.
and in those ideas we find freespeech. western society has been the leader in freedom of expression and the rest of the world gets inpired from it and follows. LEADERS and FOLLOWERS
The question is "What happens when the leaders do fall? 3.The Breach in the system SAFE SPACE a place where everybody is right even when they are wrong
no judgment safespaces are against evolution of ideas as we knew it this could lead to the fall of the modent progressive world. the thing is during the last decades more and more people around the world started following western civilisation.
does this mean that we're following a falling civilisation that could no more challenge it's own concepts?
