The conflict Iran-U.S. Ambassador Urges CITIZENS on the Iraqi Border the Anticipation of Retaliatory Attacks
Today Iran attacked the base forces of the United States (US) in Iraq. Action this is an action retribution for the attack drones that killed the Commander of the Army of the Iranian revolutionary Guard, Qassim Sulaimani on Friday (3/1). A cavalcade of Sulaimani attacked in the Baghdad International Airport on the orders of the US President, Donald Trump.
The murder of Sulaimani triggers the high tension between Iran and the US. In anticipation of the attack, CITIZENS who are in territory of Iran bordering with Iraq requested ready and alert.
The INDONESIAN ambassador to Iran, Mohammad Azad said it has issued an appeal asking CITIZENS to pay attention to the security situation in their respective environments. Such an appeal has also been delivered at a large demo against the government on last November.
"We suggest to avoid the demo or mass. Well currently with the situation growing then we ask them to analyze their own, this time we see the areas bordering with Iraq, we should notice first. So there are some that already we are urged to be ready-ready. Because we avoid if counter-attack is happening around the region," he explained in the Ministry of foreign Affairs, Central Jakarta, Wednesday (8/1).
CITIZENS who live on the border of Iraq only three people. Azad said he had also monitor one by one of the three individuals.
"We check that they're ready. No one outside of three people in the city to the other, it again was not in place. That we check one-on-one their existence," he said.
