What are Your Thoughts on Antifa?
No real article here, I just want to start a discussion and hear what others have to say. I would also like to know where people are on the political spectrum just to see if there are other people on the Left who aren't exactly thrilled with them.

The big points are that they tend to engage in violence when it is not absolutely necessary, which allows those on the Right to point out that "both sides" are an issue. They tend to end up highlighting those who they try to de-platform. They scare people into moving to the right because most people start to think that the radicals/AnComs are a powerful force on the Left. Speaking of AnComs...their ideology is remarkably unpopular and drives people away from actual "anti-fascist action". There are so many ways to oppose actual fascism that many people would be willing to take part in that Antifa does not foster. Instead of reaching out and trying to convince moderates, they just drive them away.

The other 2 comments above seem to know that antifa is not helping the left. And same for the curator, at least you guys get it,...funny how a lot of those so called Left don't ....but in reality, I think "antifa" infiltrated the left and is pushing a radical agenda that not even leftist agree with and they are like WTF, we don't agree with these idiots?
Soon there will be no democratic party, and that is not good at all, but if the left remains the way it's going, it's done for.
They are an absolutely awful thing for the Left. They manage to pull off a few of the most left-wing people into their cause - which basically means that those people will now not contribute to anything that has a chance of success - and then they push the more moderate people out of the Left.
I do not believe most of the conspiracy videos/theories about them, but I can see why people would believe that Antifa was created to subvert and destroy the (American) Left. The Democratic Party is not going anywhere, but this definitely weakens them by cutting off both their left and centrist flanks at once. Honestly, if this were a conspiracy by right-wingers to create a movement to kneecap the Left, it would be a brilliant one.
We really do need multiple parties in this country.
Yeah, the left really needs to get rid of all those radicals from Mad Maxine Waters to Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi and all those who enslave the left. The right has John Mccain Mitch Mcconnell and Paul Ryan among others. But it seems that the end times are coming. It's getting really interesting with everything that's going on in the world.
They are honestly more like fascist than anyone else right now.
