# BE PART OF LEADERSHIP SELECTION

Nigeria is a great Country, blessed with human and natural resources that can be used to better the lives of the citizens. To harness all these characteristics for the use of Nigerians, one needs to be part of the leadership selection into the various elective offices in the forth coming 2019 election. The only way you can do this, is for you to obtain your permanent voter's card ( PVC) and vote your right leader into office during the election.
However, it's important to note that leadership is all about influence. Base on this, Nigerians need to be more proactive in their action whenever a crucial decision is to be made as to whom they want to elect as their leader who can influence things for them among the committee of nations both within and outside the shore of this country.
I want to believe that only those who involve in decision making can have the experience of how decision is been taken. In order words , being aloof will not help when the time come for leadership selection. It is your right to choose whosoever that you want to lead you. If you fail to be part of the process then, you have no right to complain about bad governance . Today, everybody is desirous of the developed countries in the world, this is because their citizens take it as a responsibility to elect the right people into offices. They believe that people of integrity and men that have fear of God are the appropriate people that can rule them.
In our own context, the European leaders still refer to Africa as a developing country because of our struggle in all human endeavors. Be it technology, economic, education and other areas of economy sectors, Africa is still lagging behind. The ban of the short coming is the absence of the right leader whose mind is free from corruption , selfishness and tribalism. It is time for us to be fully involved in the national issues. We need to ensure that management of both human development and natural resource require experience and only people with high intelligent quotient and love of man kind can give us the good management we desire.
Similarly, the need to show party politics when selecting our leaders should be discouraged. We should endeavour to support a credible personality that have the interest of the masses and nature at heart not people that will disrupt the foundation built by our forefathers . You can recall today, that party politics as against personality pedigree is what brought our country's economy to a bad shape. This can only be addressed if you rise up to your own responsibility by being a part of leadership selection for the purpose of developing our great country .
Also, remember that your inability to be part of this progress wheel can be disastrous to your constituency. You need an advocate that can fight for you in the government when decision is to be taken. It is because of this sole reason that you ought to be fully active in the whole operation and ensure that the right person is chosen.
Do you know that a country with great wealth like Nigeria but increase poverty can only be reposition well when you have the right leader( s) in various position? If your anwer is yes, then you need to wake up from your slumber and watch out and get behind the aspirant with good manifestoes not aspirant that will promise you a bag of rice, tricycle and other intangible materials for the exchange of your civic rights.
Let me also, create your indulgence to the fact that " be part of leadership selection". This article is not calling you to embrace violence and thuggery during and after election or asking you to romance religion and ethnicity in exercising your rights. Our golden opinion is for you to be more vigilant when selecting your leader in the next electoral dispensation.

To this end, I want to say emphatically , that you can be part of those people that can champion the greatness of this country. Your contribution is paramount if only you endeavour to be among the progressive minded people that are ready to push away the (cankerworm ) leaders who by corrupt means find themselves in the corridor of power.
The austerity and killings going on in the land can be addressed if our leaders are ready to take the bull by the horn by ensuring that appropriate action is taken. Remember that a good leader and good followers are those people that can bring peace we all desire. Therefore, it good for you to be part of the system rather than stand aloof and suffer the consequences of not being involved.
