The #TrumpShutdown Or 1 Year Of America Going Down The Path of a Fascist Kleptocracy!
On the eve of the inauguration of Trump as POTUS a year ago, America, resp its government is shut down.
What remains and will remain in the history books about this particular shutdown of America's government is the blatantly racist remarks that Trump made about Africa, Haiti and El Salvador, degrading them as shit hole countries when trying to reach a deal, to prevent a shutdown.
Taking a trip down memory lane we can find a Trump tweets and appearances in various news shows.
His statements leave no doubt as to who would be/was to blame for a government shutdown.
Would he live up to his own word he would not be POTUS anymore and had signed his resignation letter today.
Instead we find a defiant POTUS who wants to put the blame squarely on the opposition, whilst he himself is more worried to miss out on his golf and the fundraising event for his billionaire donors.
The parallels between his governing and how he ran his business are striking!
So on the eve of Trump’s first year in office, Trump has managed(pun intended) to declear bankruptcy of the government. To add to this immense failure, the GOP holds all branches of government. The only thing they managed to pass, was a massive tax break for the top 1%, but they’re besides that unable to keep the government open and running.
This speaks volumes and is testament to the GOP being completely beholden to the top 1% adding to the image of America becoming a fascist kleptocracy!
America and its democracy are unfit for the 21st. century. Not only because of the electoral college, more so by a antiquated 2 party system and the devastating citizen united ruling.
The combination of both have turned America into a country, where the top 1% and corporations dictate policy no matter which party holds office or has the majority in us congress.
A sad statement to this fact is, that America has the worst health care system in the developed world since decades, at best on par with those found in developing nations.
In 2017 America has also dropped out of the top 10 of best countries to live! in terms of quality of live. It’s now ranked 18th. There are other aspects where America fares better, but in all of them America lags far behind scandinavian countries, Switzerland, New Zealand and Australia. This should be food for thought to all of those who shout out that America is the best country in the world.
What do have all of these countries in common? They all have some form of universal healthcare, where healthcare is not a privilege but a basic right!
This is one of the major points that distinguishes a Trump vs. Clinton administration and is for me one of the main points i say that America is on the verge to become a klepto-fascist regime.
The good news is that the american electorate still has the possibility to prevent that from happening, unless Trump and his ilk don’t cancel the mid term elections.
As bad as all that is, it’s not my main concern for now. The thing that worries me most, is the fact that America has the largest nuke arsenal and its Commander in Chief is hopelessly narcissistic, revengeful, hate filled and more dangerously, suffers from on setting Alzheimer’s like his dad did.
With such a short tempered and demented man with nukes, the danger of nuklear holocaust have grown and remain highly tense!
At this point i wish that America would be a 3rd world shithole, not to wish its people to suffer, but rather the fact that 3rd world shitholes tend to not have nukes at their disposal!
Being a optimistic person myself i think that America will come back on track and rid itself of a deeply flawed human as their POTUS or severly restrict him & the GOP of further hurting the enviroment and endanger humanity!
With this all said i am of the opinion that America is closer to a fascist kleptocracy, with a slight hint of theocracy, then being great again!
Is America first as the WW2 slogan of Nazi sypathisers proclaims? By far not, the opposit is the case America declines!
