Flashback to the Last Government Shutdown: National Park Ninjas

When the last shutdown happened, my parents were on a long-awaited tour of Civil War battlefields. My dad is quite the history buff and...let's just say...not shy about his opinions. The first thing that happened when we heard the national parks were closed was my husband turning to me in horror and saying, "Oh dear god, your poor mom."

Well, turns out mom was a pretty good sport and they ninja'd around everywhere they wanted to go anyways. We started receiving these pictures and stories of their adventures, and this meme was born.

This latest shutdown reminded me of it and I had to drag it out of the archives.
