Desire for the unearned

Leftism is the desire for the unearned.

Leftism is the belief that taking money from those who have more to give to those that have less, is "good". Put another way, leftists believe that those with more have a moral imperative to support those who have less.

Leftism is rooted in the erroneous belief that everyone is equal at heart and any differences are purely the result of circumstance and environment. It is the belief that those who aren't well off are simply victims of circumstance.

They believe that these victims of circumstance need help, whether they ask for it or not. They believe that this help needs to be taken from those who are well off, whether they want to give it or not. And they believe that this exchange of wealth makes the world a better place.

The belief that voting for the forceful transfer of wealth from the rich to the poor makes you a "good" person, is a belief in unearned virtue.

The belief that as a poor person you "deserve" the wealth forcefully taken from others and given to you is to believe in unearned wealth.

And the belief that as a rich person, having your money forcefully taken from you is helping anyone, is to believe in unearned assistance.

Socialism is fundamentally a desire for the unearned.
