Telecommunications Amendments Bill 2016: More cost & less privacy

This has been a push for more government control over telecommunications companies and their users. The reason, to better is to better manage security, terrorism and espionage risks. The new requirements, including the requirement to document compliance will come at a significant cost to users, and additionally a cost to users privacy. This will also restrict competition and lower the quality of service.
