I am considering running for a US House of Representatives Seat in 2020...
I am considering running for a US House of Representatives Seat as a Moderate (I lean fiscally conservative, socially liberal).
I am excited to potentially represent the city and state I have lived in my entire life, as well as the district the majority of my family, friends, and acquaintances live.
To run a winning campaign you need to raise a large amount of money... The fee to get on the ballot is $3,000.
Can the Steemit Community help me raise the money for this fee?

Also, have any of you ran for public office before? What was your experience? Any advice?
I have run for office. I think you'd need at least $100,000.
I would at least need that much.. and probably more! I am assuming you had a Campaign Manager & Campaign Treasurer. How did you go about finding people to fill these positions?
I've been involved with campaigns so I know how to do some stuff. The hardest part is the funding. You might want to volunteer on someone else's campaign so you can get some experience and know who you want to help with yours. You could also run for something small like school board or even precinct delegate.
Thanks for the advice!! My Dad ran for School Board in the early 2000s so I should talk to him more about what he did. My Grandfather ran for a Representative seat in the 60s or 70s but he passed away in the 80s.

You could ask @davemccoy about running questions. If steemit is going to be in your plans for the run, then a new name and account might be in order to get your name out to the people. A running name @linda4dfw-rep. I have no clue what your name is that was just a made up one, but it may be best to just have an account under your real name, people don't like seeing politicians trying to hide, (well I don't). Just a thought.
Thanks for the advice Bashadow! I will need to make a new account if/when I decide for sure that I am running. Still in the exploratory/considering phase of launching a campaign. I cannot officially file for the 2020 election until the end of 2019...
