The days i have lived here , last 22 years i have come to know and understand that certain things are beyond Good and Evil . Power is one such thing and man is a lower form of existence .The more power he (society) gets the more they become inhuman and together they walk toward a grand frame in which men would become an endangered species and finally will be wiped off . You know why because man and society always keep looking for enemy , always! Americans vs the soviets , Americans after Soviets with Vietnamese, America after Vietnam with Iraq , after that with Afghan and it will go ON !!!! We always want an enemy , as a people , as a society and as a race , in order to keep seeking for power , more and more .So right now the war is with Muslims soon enough it will be other sect , tribe or whatever but it is a constant process ...so this will go on and on and ONNNN !! This may seem foolish as to the grand problem you have posted about people getting killed but this is how low an intellect mas is , was and always will be !
