RE: Curation: Referendums: Yes or No?
As A Scot I was proud to have the opportunity to vote for independence from the UK despite the result favouring to reject independence. The debates that the people of Scotland had on the YES/NO vote was passionate from ALL AGES, More young Scots than ever became interested in politics. I'm proud to be a Scot who got that chance to vote for independence. We may not have got the result we wanted but we accepted it. The Brexit shenanigans, again proud of a Country who debated leaving the European Union, despite the majority of Scotland voting to stay, the rest of UK voted to leave which is ironic because if we had independence we would never have had to vote in the European referendum. When I see what is happening in Catalonia, I I can empathize with them, the passion, the belief of having independence, yet to have the Spanish government treat them like criminals is shocking in a democratic country.
Interesting perspective and thanks for sharing!
