Mutant/Imposter
we mutants are good ones
the imposters but a hollow shell
the imposers and “poster boys”
whose very crime is somehow
our responsibility.
we mutants get lip service
the imposters get the cash
we’re not even mutants anyway
those posing as priests would have you
believe otherwise
with blustery fervor about our great nation
our great god...our great...
ostensible reason to pose.
you can be a first-rate scumbag
nobody will care
they only pretend to mind contradictions
what they really want is comfort
for their feeble, pathetic and quivering
shattered sense of self...
to them,
we mutants,
look painfully whole.
That’s why
they have to call
us
what they do.
Mutant. Incredible.
anything they feel like they are.
In a sea of political favors
there is no time left at all
to be human.
Just a mask.
And the rest of us humans are called unwell.
do I clench my fists?
do I protest wildly?
if you do,
it’s just ‘cause you’re “unwell.”
i’m waiting for the day when the truth comes out
then imposters shall take their place
and the childlike shall be lifted up.

Sad that importers rule the World Graham. Even a mutant like you has to find a way to cloak yourself in order to get there. Like you said, people only care about comfort. The road is tough but the right thing will prevail @kafkanarchy

The Federal Government was meant to protect us from foreign threats, whereas, the state governments are meant to deal with domestic affairs, however, lately the Federal Government is involved more than they should with each State's domestic such health, education etc.
In other words: We are sot the sociopath elites who run the world. I doesn't matter what they say they are: 'priests', 'representatives of the Right,' 'representatives of the Left," etc.
