And Justice For All? A Little Respect Would Be A Nice Start!
Back when I was in highschool, our school libraray would sell some of the “older” books and with that money buy new books. I purchased one of those books, it was called “The Nature Of Politics”.
The book itself was “old”, however it really went into the differences in policies and policy making process around the world. Yes it did go into ideological topics and as it was written in the free world, which was known as “The West” it did have a slight choice of words that could lead a person to not tolerate the totalitarian policy processes of “The East”.
However, to not make this post a simple “Book Review”, what I wish to quote from this book is one of the statements made by the auther and that is:
“When politics fails to find a solution then this results in war.....”
Well, the reason I have used this statement here is because for years now I have been reading all these conspiracy theories about why Operation Iraqi Freedom actually happened.
The facts are as follows:
1- The Iraqi dictatorship lead by Saddam Hussein outright financed, supported and assisted any and all terrorist organizations that threatened the western world.
2- The Iraqi dictatorship was openly experimenting with chemical weapons. Testing it on its own citizens in the past and so on.
3- The Iraqi dictatorship had openly defied all UN and International notions/policies which would openly allow qualified personnel to freely investigate the relevant “facilities”.
After September 11, it was clear to all Westerners that extremists need to be stopped. No matter where they may be. Otherwise no person in the world could sleep surely, walk the streets without fear and worst of all, no child would be safe anywhere, from schools, public parks all the way to shopping centers (malls) etc.
Many good men lost their lives in Operation Iraqi Freedom. Many civilians were killed by the Iraqi Dictatorship and the partisan terrorists who used various improvised explosive devices (IED), car and truck bombs to suicide bombers who in fact in most cases were victims themselves as their families were abducted and held hostage by the terrorist cells while the suicide bomber would be given a fake hope that their actions would save their family.
Taking all this into consideration, it really hurts me to read various “conspiracy theories”, especially now in 2017 after so many terrorist attacks in various countries all over this world.
It really hurts to read various people disrespect all the good people who did their job and died doing it, so that a bloody and ruthless dictatorship would be neutralized. So that the people in Iraq can have the opportunity to build a future for themselves without a totalitarian dictatorship.
It really hurts when I have to read all sorts of theories about it all being about oil and money. When in actual fact the oil production in Iraq is going to take decades to rebuild and get up and running to its realistic capacities. Yet many claim that billions are being made practically every minute and that The USA has it all for themselves. These types of texts really offend me.
It really is so disrespectful to speak about people who risked and many who gave their lives so as to ensure freedom and democracy be given to people who have lived under the tyranny of a bloody dictatorship.
I personally consider it totally disrespectful to talk about the men and women who gave a good portion of their lives for others in a manner that is inappropriate. If someone has a difference of opinion as to the policies of politicians, then it can be expressed in manners that show the utmost respect towards the people who were out there risking their lives while the politicians were back in their comfortable leather chairs pushing pens and spending taxpayers taxes (money).
For those who have no respect for the men and women who risk their lives so as to ensure that terrorism gets stopped, so that extremists get stopped and that freedom and democracy be ensured for all people on this earth, that basic human rights not be violated by totalitarian regimes, well I ask you, What would you think if your human rights, your freedoms/liberties were to be taken away from you?
I sincerely hope that this post be read by at least one person who has gone out and written anything about military forces of the West in a way that doesn’t have any respect for the men and women doing their jobs. For the men and women who face death so that others may be given an opportunity to be free and make their own decisions and to not live in fear of a dictator or any other totalitarian government.
I don’t judge you for your difference in opinion, I just feel really sad about the fact that you can not at least add a waiver at the bottom of your texts in which you express your respect for the men and women who deserve all the respect of every person who does not have to risk their own life as a result of these very brave and honourable men and women.
As far as your opinions on politicians and their policies go, it’s your free and democratic right to express it, something that many out there could never even contemplate let alone express prior to the dictatorship they lived in was taken down.
I go back to my introduction here,
“When politics fails to find a solution then this results in war.....”
So don’t disrespect those who fought in a war, these people are heroes who faced death right in the eye because politicians failed to find a solution.
Personally, I don’t expect anyone to glorify anyone, all I am trying to evoke here is a sense of justice and respect for those who are the victims of a lot of injustice.
To finish this off, lets not forget, veterans may eventually have a simple little pension if they survived the war(s), while the politicians have a lot more than any war veteran. So please in future remember the things I am trying to express here, I have not lashed out at anyone, all I have tried to do is to have you see things from a perspective that is realistic and very respectful towards the people who truly do deserve all the respect possible.
For all those men and women who didn’t make it back home, who took their own lives after the war,

As someone who has been opposed to all war for my entire life, I just want to say that I understand where you are coming from. But I do want to mention that opposing a policy or opposing war is not tantamount to opposing our men and women in the armed forces.
I have absolute respect and thanks for the brave people in our military. I have a few friends that are in the military as well, and they are great people. I have no ambition to disrespect them by any means. I have only my convictions and hope to see a peaceful world.
I despise seeing our government send more and more of our friends and family off to fight in wars.
But please be aware that profit and greed IS the reason this is happening. Sometimes it is about oil. Other times it is about other resources. But it is ALWAYS about money. Even if there is nothing of physical value to gain in a location, the weapon manufacturers are making bank no matter what.
I hear you, loud and clear.
and unlike many of those posers out there who may be yelling "hear hear" or something that effect while pretending to be some very brave and noble antiwar activists, I sincerely can say that I agree with you more than what most could ever imagine.
War is the last of options, yet when mad men who disrespect human rights are at question it seems that war may be inevitable.
No child deserves to grow up in an environment in which human rights are not respected.
No parent or child deserves to live in fear of its government.
Sad but true about our reality that mad men out there just don't care about human rights, their ideologies, cults or greed are more important to them than seeing their children (boys and girls) growing up as free and equal individuals.
We cannot understand them, even after witnessing it first hand, to us it is a level of evil that we just cannot fathom.
So when it comes to respecting the people who confront these evils, all I can say is that respect is the least that we can give to them.
I Hear You..... is probably the best way I can express the fact that I fully agree with you and that comments/statements like your comment here is a rare sight out there when these topics are addressed.

All I can think to do to fight against this, is keep speaking out in favor of peace wherever I can.

Your facts are wrong. Your opinion is all yours, and I can surely respect them, but the truth remains and it doesn't matter how much you need those facts to be true to feel that your world is psychologically or morally coherent. In any case, perhaps you can quote some source that sustains those 3 "facts" you mentioned.

PERSONALLY SPOKE TO PEOPLE IN THE IRAQI MILITARY WHO WORKED AT ONE OF THESE PLANTS.
I don't know what sources you may have, what "conspiracy theories" you may have read, my witnesses of the time are first hand witnesses.
