On Being a Man - Confessions of an Indolent Mystic #3

Despite popular narrative, men are the silent minority in many respects (if you count 47% as a minority) and our experience is historically discounted as we've had to shut the f-ck up and provide/go to war. So I'll take some time to share my experience as a man.

Now cool it, I'm not one of those Men Going Their Own Way guys (or as Martin Willet calls them, Boys Going Away) who masks their hatred of women and possible latent homosexuality in a pessimistic reading of Evolutionary Psychology and government statistics - no, I'm just practical. I'm one of those guys who believes in a divine order to the Universe (thus the term Mystic in this series title) and that there performative differences exist between the sexes which compliment each other. In the areas we don't seem to compliment each other, we just have failed to communicate our true nature to each other. It's in that spirit of communication that I write the following.

One possible first thought upon seeing this posts thumbnail being a dog is that I liken my sex to dogs in the pejorative sense - although that is sometimes true and in the same spirit I would personify women with the image of a harpy, that is not how I meant it. Basically it was synchronicity as I simply put "devotion" into the Pixabay search bar and primarily got back religious iconography, a silhouette of a couple embracing, and a rusty padlock (wtf?), but I was drawn to the images of dogs looking up (presumably at their beloved masters) and I choose this as it is, universally, the chief defining characteristic of my sex in it's highest form - dog-like devotion. This isn't to say women don't experience or express devotion, but that we experience it in different qualities. Whether we're talking about a healthy man or a neurotic one, this quality tends to stick with us, but expresses itself in different ways.

The inspiration for this post came from a Skype conversation with my brother-from-another-mother, Seán. I had convinced him that my strange mutation of Astrology (Human Design) is an amazingly accurate system, so I felt at ease sending him links concerning it. One link was of a beautiful mid-aged woman describing an aspect of this system with her face no more than half a foot from the camera as she spoke. Now, I shared this link with him to educate him but with an ulterior motive and admission: "Oh god. Have you ever seen a girl on Youtube and thought "YES PLEASE"?" He agreed with me that this woman is beautiful and gave his own examples of women on YouTube he felt an attraction for. I told him, "this one is so close to the camera I feel like I could reach through the monitor and grab a hold of her" and thus began a frank discussion on attraction to women online...

It was about two years ago that the Alt Right (which I'm hated by) and surrounding spheres collectively realised that a woman on video gets about 1,000 time more attention when saying the exact same thing as any given men, and so began the rise of various female superstars such as Sinead McCarthy, Tara McCarthy (no relation), Laura Southern, Britney Pettibone, etc, who are all very intelligent in their own right, but very attractive. I can say with 99% certainty that I've only heard of most of these women because of their attractiveness giving them exposure in order that the end up in my YouTube Recommendations and get spoken about. It would be a mistake to think it's all about attractiveness, though, as it's scientifically proven that a woman would more readily listen to another woman on certain issues than a man. So the tendency is there to assume the only reason these women have their exposure is because most of the men who see them want to have sex with them, yet that's patently untrue. I, for one, do not waste my time on any of these women with the exception of Laura Southern. I ignored Laura until she broke away from Rebel Media and began to cover Generation Identitaire. My "relationship" to her isn't strictly platonic, however, as I've found myself at times watching her and thinking "OH LAUREN! BE MINE!" I've seen a lot of pretty women in my life and I still see them when I go outside, so it takes a special one to trigger this reaction within me. She has to have a quality of strength - either the strength of achievement or inner-dignity. So powerful is this feeling, like when I watched the aforementioned video on Human Design, that I often felt the urge to COMMENT on the video and state my affection...

I did state my affection for Laura under one of her videos, but immediately afterwards saw the 10 other recent comments from other male YouTubers to the same effect. I instantly felt shame and decided to never do so again as I didn't want to join the legions of virgins on YouTube in collective ignorance of Laura's message in preference for her cute face and perfect figure. Yet, I still feel that urge from time to time and still refrain from making the knee-jerk comment of "You're so beautiful" or something to that effect. Today I expressed this to my friend Seán and he replied "Sometimes I wonder how men can be such idiots to think that making a single comment or liking a video will lead to an intimate connection with these chicks." Immediately it dawned upon me: what if most of these men, my fellow men were more like myself than I thought and my internalized misandry was judging them all as brainless horndogs!? What if these men fully absorbed and integrated what Lauren (and others) had to convey but still felt the unquenchable urge to express praise and recognition for what they were seeing (no, experiencing)? It's not our fault that both men and women universally find it easier to digest such horrible realities from women and so they are the only popular figures online expressing these ideas. We're just experiencing a social byproduct and thus are inundated with these perfect examples of who we aught to be spending our lives with. Why should we be punished (by ourselves and each other) for feeling an organic draw towards woman who has intelligence, drive, morals, and good looks to boot? Otherwise genius women like Naomi Wolf (author of The Beauty Myth) may complain about the exaltation of a particularly high standard of the female form and its effects on women, but they don't realise that women share in the culpability and that the standard cuts both ways. Not only do I have to look at perfectly chiselled male forms selling underwear, mocking me for not looking like The Rock, but I am confronted with female forms that are the ultimate distillation of beauty (on all levels), even in alternative media, which I am designed to crave.

This is the only one thing that upsets me about Feminism, and sadly it seems to be fundamental to the entire ideology. Women are exclusively oppressed by men historically (which is popularly perceived as ALL MEN) and even if you can convince them that, within their Patriarchy Theory, men also suffer, they will insist that women still suffer SUPER ESPECIALLY HARD to the point that men's issues aren't worth recognising or that they're in some way the fault of men, and again aren't worth addressing. Just look at the self-contradiction performed by these two "Feminists" featured in this Magog and Morskar response-video within the first 2 minutes (I couldn't find the original):

I highly suggest Magog of Morskar as a very entertaining YouTube channel, by the way. Just try to look at his earlier work first (sorry, Magog, you became suck lately).

I just think we guys have gotten a shit deal, is all. For every girl that gets her genitals mutilated, a million or more boys get their genitals mutilated. You can argue as to which is the most traumatic and objectively offensive (from a Humanist perspective) and you'd be a fucking disingenuous idiot. The further along I get in writing this (stream of consciousness) blog post I am more and more aware of one the MGTOW's mantras - that men are forced by nature to only consider themselves in contrast to women - and I realise I'm guilty of that. Well shit, maybe that's just how things are. We're the sex that goes to war, that works in the mines, that collects the garbage, that maintains the infrastructure etc., so maybe our only identity is in relation to women. Okay, granted. When you support our genitals being mutilated, our dicks graze against our underwear (or pants) for years, so we lose feeling in the tip, so we feel less. That makes sex less of a sensual affair and more of a "cumming affair" by no fault of our own, so we're culturally and physically conditioned to only think of cumming ourselves, and we also need harder and naughtier sex to get us off. On top of that, the skin on our tips becomes hardened, so while we're thrusting into you ladies we're tearing the gentle fabric of your insides making you less sensitive. Basically, you can call it payback for your support of this brutal ritual as you'll become as numb of sexual pleasure as we have been our whole lives.

FUN FACT
Ever notice how Kellogg's Corn Flakes has an image of a COCK on the box?! Kellogg was a big supporter of the movement in the U.S. for the Jewish ritual of circumcision (or more accurately called, male genital mutilation). He also knew that feeding men corn would lower their testosterone and make them less likely to want sex, and in later life be able to conceive with a woman.

As I said in the beginning, I'm not one of those Men Going Their Own Way* guys who want to re-establish the Christian Patriarchy, I'm just trying to re-negotiate the over-correction of 20th Century Feminism (as many of my female friends recognise). Our voice has not been fully heard. I know women have been stuck in the household, raising children and homesteading, but all the same we have been dying in wars, getting black lung in the mines, competing with each other in corporations to make out wives and 3+ children happy, but at the same time women live longer than we historically do. They finished raising their children by 40 or 50 years old MAX, homesteading is shit loads of fun, socializing is (potentially) more casual than "socializing" in a corporation, and when the man is dead the woman can sit on her ass for another 20 years enjoying the wealth the man left behind, bitching about how bad women have it. Today, what do men have? We're still wired to impress women and women are still wired to look for men who have more than they do. Now that women are in the workforce, there are no more wars to fight, no more frontiers to carve out a homestead in.... WE'RE ADRIFT. Those of us who are predisposed to it, we have our wealth: but there will always be a wealthier man our woman could leave us for. Those of us who are simply brilliant and intelligent despite lack of wealth: there will always be a more brilliant man our women could leave us for. If anyone has the shit deal in the 21st Century, it's us men.
