When people of some remote mountin village heard about democracy for the first time, they gathered and asked their imam (priest) to explain the new word to them.

while standing on his high minaret, imam told them>

Imagine if i pull down my pants and start peeing at you from above.
Well democracy means you re also allowed to pull down your pants, and pee on me.

also, speaking of elections, with so much at stake (for example, having a power over army with largest budget on planet) it would be foolish to believe that one who has the power to rig it, wont do it because of morality and dedication to democracy principles.
