It's Stuff Like This That Makes Me Think..."I, for one, welcome our new New World Order overlords!" (original meme and gif!)

So one of my relatives got this from their University. If this is at all representative of the 30th percentile (even the lowest of) in terms of educational attainment of the American population, then I'm fairly certain we're doomed anyway. And if not, then maybe we deserve to be.

This problem, like most social/political/economic problems, would probably be alleviated with an injection of free market principles. If student loans and college degrees weren't handed out like safe-space brochures at a state university, and instead, students and schools had to rely on their objective performance rather than government mandated quotas, these absurdities would be stomped out within a few graduation cycles. Employers would quickly sort out which schools were spending their limited resources on practices and services that prepared students to successfully transition into society as an adult, and which schools wasted their resources babying their students and pushing courses of questionable value and dubious logic (see real-world googled examples below).

And while I'm dreaming, I'd love to propose a change that would see a dramatic improvement in the quality of the student bodies in all public schools. It entails the immediate suspension of all mandatory "social justice" courses for any student having utilized or attempted to make use of a university "safe space", while simultaneously instituting a requirement that these students complete a few quarters or semesters studying abroad in:

a) any 3rd world country, but especially those which are hosting a US military presence

b) any Muslim-dominated country, but especially those which are non-secular and have experienced a US military

c) North Korea, but especially if student is obviously not of Korean-descent

d) Israel, but especially if student at all resembles or could be mistaken for having the slightest possibility of Palestinian-descent

These students would gain more knowledge and experience more reality in a week, than a lifetime in any university. But hopefully they die first, since the real objective would be graciously sparing the world from the horrifying possibility of their DNA contaminating the global gene pool. Anyway, it's very likely that none of this is necessary. Despite the pervasive perversion of the American ideals of free-market principles guiding our national discourse, thoughts, and spirit, I think there's still enough of our good ole' buddy, laissez faire, limping around the country to ensure that justice finds all social justice warriors and...something about...crying pussies circle-jerking in safe spaces...eh...i dunno i'm lazy...just follow great leader as usual?
