INDEPENDENCE - What is it really?

To me I’ll say independence is that little time you spend alone, the time you spend to relax especially at night, I believe that's the only Independence any human can Experience.

won't you ask me why!

The reason is this, everyone believes Independence is when you are free, self-authorized, able to make decisions on your own without nobody guiding you, doing whatever you like whenever you want, to gain freedom from a Boss or parent/guidance, Teacher, Instructor etc.

In short, being old enough to take responsibilities for every action you make. Is that really true?

I agree with this description though but it's still making no sense, you can only be free on the bed, everybody likes to relax with no disturbance but you can only do that freely at night on your bed.

Try to understand me, to gain freedom from a Boss or parent etc. is possible though but they still remain whatever they are to you and they can summon you any day at any time.

If you think you are old enough to take responsibilities for your every act, at times you will make mistakes, you can't be perfect remember? and when you do make those mistakes you will need divine guidance, that is why you should never leave your creator out of anything you do. No matter what independence you think you have, you still have your God to depend upon.

HOW TO BE TRULY INDEPENDENT

1. Being Free: - when you are ready to sleep, there’s no more disturbance, you can relax and forget about the stress the whole day had caused you, and you can decide not to sleep, but at least you are free from that day’s chatter, clamor, hustle and bustle.

2. Making decisions on your own:- of course, you can make decisions on your own without no instruction, but only on your Bed. Nobody will decide for you where to face before sleeping, whether to face up or down or either side, you'll have to choose the most suitable position for yourself. (For Example those in prison) Sincerely major decisions can only be thought about at this very late hour on the bed.

3. Doing what you like when you want: - am sure you know that’s impossible, ask yourself sincerely "can I really do what I like when I want?" of course you can, but you know you can't, because you don't have the freedom and facilities to carry them out.
   For example, you like to eat cheese, you can eat it because you have the mouth to do, but you can't get it because you don't have the money to buy it. you'd like to go on road jog every Sunday morning but you don't have the strength to, or you're a little crippled to do so.

Life itself is complicated, you can't get everything you like when you want, the only few times you can is at night on your bed. you can decide whether to sleep or go to the vigil, whether to brush and bath or play football, you can never be fully independent.

In fact, another word for Independence is "DEATH". independence means being "Free" right? being free from stress and slavery-like the country Nigeria Acknowledged it, and to be truly free is to be dead. are you dead? If you are, then you are independent to a certain extent.

Even Nigeria that claims to be independent of herself, with a lot of professors, scholars, spiritual fathers and knowledgeable people can still not boast of inventing ordinary a matchstick, toothpick, toilet roll, tissue and other little things she needs for her people to benefit, let alone to invent greater things like Cars, Airplanes etc.

Nigeria is a very lucky country, she owns a lot of valuable resources yet doesn't know how to maintain it, for example, we own fuel yet we lack its use, in the sense that we pay more to get little, is that proper? and you call this being independent.

The most reasonable companies, factories, firms etc. in Nigeria that serves as a source of income to most Nigerians are not owned by Nigerians. If our President and other Great elite do not travel out of Nigeria to get treatment when they are ill, they don’t believe they've gotten the best treatment, they send their kids abroad to get education because they have the power to finance it, aren’t they schools in Nigeria, aren't they good hospitals, they don’t believe their health is safe in Nigeria.
Is this our formula for independence? if it is, then our Nigeria is undependable, she is still dependent.

That shows nothing can ever be truly independent, not even a Country, not a wild animal left alone in the forest, nothing. its normal for every human to try to be independent but majorly you should wobble through with dependency.
the reason why Nigeria claims to be independent is that she's free from her Colonia masters, but a "independence with bad governance is worse than slavery".
