Real reason behind Brett Kavanaugh's appointment as Associate Judge of the Supreme Court
President Donald Trump's decision to nominate Brett Kavanaugh to be appointed as Associate Judge of the Supreme Court was questioned by many in the very beginning, and with the unfolding of the new events that decision is becoming more and more questionable. The fact that his views regarding abortion is unclear does not help his case.
In Kavanaugh's confirmation hearing he was asked about his views on abortion, he didn't give a direct answer about his own position on abortion rights during the confirmation process, but in the past he has written decisions and memos expressing anti-abortion sentiments.
The fact that Kavanaugh refused to shake hands with Parkland victims's father has angered many who are saying that such action is "rude" and "disrespectful"
White House was effectively taking steps to stop 100,000 documents handled by Kavanaugh while he was serving under the Bush administration from getting examined in confirmation hearing, whereas 42,000 of such documents were released 15 hours before the hearing, these documents were released in such short time that Confirmation hearing committee could not review all the documents.
Protests are being held against Kavanaugh's nomination by the President. People are unclear as to why he is being nominated.
The real reason behind his nomination being, Kavanaugh in an interview said that he believes that while the President is in his position he should not be investigated. It seems like the President has taken a liking to Kavanaugh's views as to the ongoing investigation against the President.
