Why? Why not tear down the Great Pyramids in Egypt? They were 100 percent monuments built literally by slaves. Are you a citizen of USA? Where else would you like to live where FREEDOM for the PEOPLE is the basis of our existence? George Washington fought the crown to win freedom and set up the great Republic we have the PRIVILEGE of being a part of.
Is it perfect? No. We have the poser to change it where it needs change.
The movement to make things equal only applies to the youngest country on earth? The past is littered with countries with horrible pasts built upon war and domination of another. Should we not address this globally as well? Why only here ?
Because we live here. To your point, shouldn't a country that is so young have learned from past transgressions throughout history? Furthermore, shouldn't we clean our own house before we demand it of others? Damn right we should.
Van Jones is correct. However, we can not overlook the threat from hate groups which have grown exponentially over the last 12 years or so. We also can't look past the infiltration of law enforcement by white supremacists that the FBI warned us about in 2006, and again in 2016. This is a huge issue that continues to be overlooked. That's a huge part of the problem in this country: complacency. Too many people opt to just ignore the impacts of hate groups because it's easy for them to do so. However, minority groups don't have that option. There are many systemic issues that must be addressed as well.

What does Egypt have to do with America? Nothing.

Sure. My question to you then is how and what should be changed and 'cleaned' in our house? I RESPECT the idea we should always evolve into a better version of us. You seem to have a valid idea of the problem. What shall we do to 'fix' it?
Oh and counter point in the offering of propaganda about who is a threat...
even though they still use the 'white' label, it isn't who might think.
