According to Harold Laxwell is who gets what, when, how.
Development
"According to Meier development is more than just the acquisition of industries, but includes such ideals of modernization as rise in productivity, social and economic equalization, modem technical know-how,improves institutions and attitudes as well as rationally co-ordinated policy apparatus"
According to the liberals,it is the maximization of the growth of the Gross National Product(GNP) through capital accumulation and industrialization.
The Radical scholars lays emphasis on human beings (individual level, mode of production level, social group level)while the bourgeosis(liberal) on GNP.
Its more than the financial and material side of people's life
Underdevelopment

According to the liberal scholars is viewed in terms of backwardness and primitivity.
We will lay emphasis on underdevelopment
Its related to three notions;dependency, colonial rule,neo-colonial experience but we would be looking at one which is dependency.
The major cause of underdevelopment is dependency
The movement or flow of resources from the periphery to the centre
West-centre (developed)
South-periphery( underdeveloped)

Dependency is a situation whereby a weak region owes its existence to the stronger one(developed region).

It exist between the halves and the haves not.
The haves being the owners of the production and more advanced while the haves not being the labourers and partially advanced.
The basic or tenets of dependency includes
Poor nations provide resources, cheap labour a destination for cheap Obsolute technology and market for advanced developed nations without which they cannot enjoy their labour
Underdevelopment is a serious manipulation from the capitalist
Poor nations producing national resources,we being paid cheaply for labour rendered
Obsolute technology example tokunbo cars, designers clothes, electric equipments are dumped in an underdeveloped countries because they are no longer invoke in the developed countries.
Providing market;when we import almost everything from the developed countries we become dependent, its bad to say but almost everything in Nigeria is imported,we are blessed or endowed with natural resources but cannot make use of it instead we export them as raw materials and import them as finished goods in high values we cannot even purchase.
We have cocoa but we import chocolate after exporting them
Its hurts to see that majority of the things we consume are not made in Nigeria
The shirts,shoes,human hair,eyelashes,bags,nails etc
The youths who call themselves leaders of tomorrow wait for their own tomorrow when they are old.
you are youths and your tomorrow is now Stand up,use your initiatives, create things,be rational, creative, don't depend on your elders or parents for things, the society is even in technology, make money.
its no longer what you study in school that gives your standard living oh,you sing standard living daily but you not living it.
Education is important but only those that have ideas and put them to actions will make it..
Now connection rules the environmeny, you must have an upoer hand before you are cinbected,to collect food in wedding, connection,to pay money in bank conection to get a job connection,to even bath in the hostel you need to be connected.
Why dont you start your own connection, get over the tommorow living, start niw, leave chats and work smart, every one has endowed ideas, everyone has the same brains but wisdom and knowlede in it makes a difference, nobody was every destined to be poor.
change yiur mindset
Powerful nations actively perpetuate a state of dependency
The control of economy, banking, finace, media, educatiob etc seek attention from the western(powerful countries)
Our leaders send their children abroad to study, why don't we create our own schools here and equip them with standard.
Encountered killer diseases like monkey box,Ebola etc.
A friend of mine that went to school abroad came back but she knows nothing, don't alkow anyobe think you to believing they are better than you.
You are black by colour not by nature, you are blessed, you should be proud.

We should create equipments, employ great teachers.
We rather send a case abroad either india becaue we believe they are best in it.
Nigeria has great doctors but they have buried their heads because they have not patrinized, the graduates that studied medicibe, did they just go there and come back, the computer operators whwre are you?..no, you rather employ a white man.
Change your mindset.
Wealthy nations actively counter attempts by dependent nations to resist influnces by means of economic sanctions and outright military force.
Solution
Don't repeat history;dependency is an history since the colonial master left, yes we were deprived of our customs and traditions but we never lost our values until we decided to be dependent.
change your mindset
Stop singing change begins with me,because within you,yes you,you know that your change has not even reach to buy sachet water.
Change your thoughts, mindset, your ideas should be positive, don't be the first to criticize your country...You are your country, what affect it,affect you too.
I think the reason why government chooses to employ the white is because some Nigerians are thieves;they charge you high and still give you sub-standard materials..let your mindset change.
