Brief History
Formed in 1914 and given independence on the 1st of October 1960. Nigeria became a republic in 1963 but went into military rule, in 1967 a seperatist movement formed the Republic Of Biafra which lead to a three year civil war. Nigeria became a republic once again in 1979, the Republic was short lived as the military took over four years later and in 1999 a fourth republic was established.

Now, looking at our past you would expect that Nigerians would have learnt a few lessons along the way like when you hear that don't vote for people who make outrageous promises but sadly we have not, Nigerians keep making the same mistake especially when it comes to election of representatives all they care about is hearing the political aspirant sweet-talking and making promises they wouldn't fulfil, they fail to ask questions like how are they going to do it? And where would the funds come? because in recent times it looks like the Government solely depends on the tax paid by its citizens because there has been an increments in the amount paid as tax. When the elected officials where asked why they reply with their memory verse; "there is no money"

With the 2019 elections drawing closer and a lot of politicians showing interest in contesting for political offices I fear that we are going to make another mistake that would cost us another four years before we have the opportunity to fix it. So let's us reconsider our ways and do the right thing which is to vote for who would be faithful to his/her promises. Let's make this country great again.
