You're implying the government won't just seize the property and pay them the regular property value. I hope for their sake they didnt buy at above the average value for the property, cause that's all the government will give them when they inevitably seize it.

Ahem...why don't people actually think about this. Due to the engineering involved, Trump has already forced landowners out of the US by BUILDING HIS STUPID WALL STATESIDE. Oh and if you'd look into net immigration over our border is a lost zip, most illegal immigrants fly and overstay their visas so his wall won't do shit.

Hmm. Since the land is co-owned by everybody paying the $15, the government has to pay each and every one of them. There could be tens of thousands of people each owning maybe an inch or so of the land each, and every single one of them would need to be processed.
They'll be paying them much less each of course, but it's not about the money -- the point is generate a MASSIVE amount of paperwork and legal/administrative cost for the government.

Unlock your doors and put a sign up out the front saying "Doors unlocked", put a notice in the national newspaper saying your address and your doors are unlocked.
