Honestly, his opinion on the matter is completely worthless. He's a fighter not a politician. Honestly, I wish Conner had won because that man was humble in his journey. Floyd is cocky and clearly very selfish and became that way on his pursuit to greatness despite his hardwork. Sure he has fame and riches but ultimately it will at some point come back to haunt him. I could tell there were those that disagreed with him in the room but you can also tell there are followers in the room who dare not speak over him out of fear. He knows that and uses it to overpower the talk.
