Is Left wing politics influencing Sidewalk Etiquette?

Have you noticed recently that pavement/sidewalk etiquette has gone a bit strange? I am just over 40 and in all my years of walking I have never been bumped into or forced off the pavement onto the road as I have in the last 3 years. In a lot of cases, I have quite literary had to stop and just stand there until the person in front, grows a brain cell and walks around me.

My son has also noticed this trend when we are out for walks. He is always surprised when people make an effort to pass by giving us all space, as this is the exception and not the norm.

The funny thing is, when I try and look this up online, nearly all the articles are women complaining about men not getting out of the way. This took me back a little, because in my observable reality it's the bloody women that are by far the worst offenders and my friends and collogues agree.

From walking with their head down in their phones to walking in pairs or small groups where not one makes the effort to get out of the way. The arrogance of some women is mind blowing.

It's not difficult. Someone is walking towards you. At about the 10 yard mark, or before, walk to the far left or the far right of the pavement. Then if the person in front of you is not a complete dunce, they should move to the opposite side and you both pass each other unperturbed and with no one getting hurt.

I have a sneaking suspicion that if they catch the jogger that pushed the woman in front of a bus in London, a few weeks ago, he will cite his anger about women continually walking into his path and not moving as he jogs. Just watch the video. You will see a man walk by first, giving the jogger ample space to pass, but the woman continues on a collision course and makes no effort to move.

Just to end off, writing this made me think about the detrimental effect of being a victim and especially false victimhood. Just because Google and the MSM say it is so, observable reality should be the only metric you judge things by.

Most women know that, in general, men get out of the way and would never intentionally barge a woman. But they read that women are the victims in this situation and so must stand up to the perceived victimiser. In-turn we see an increase in women standing their ground and deliberately not getting out of the way of men. With the logical conclusion being, women thrown out of the way just like the jogger incident in London.

It is the same for all other left-wing narrative that are spun. Identify something that is wrong, (but affects very few people) blame it on straight, white, men and then attack. Straight White men get pissed off and then attack back.

The cycle continues.
