Quebec's Choice

Well, the elections in my province have come and gone, and what a surprise it was for some people who believe that if they visualize something hard enough, it will come to pass!

It didn't come to pass. The people spoke, and they spoke quite clearly; "Fuck your shit!" they said, almost to a man. Yes, I will use that expression, even though I live in a country where our feminist-boot-licking Prime Minister once dared opine that we should all use 'people-kind' instead of the hated colloquialism 'mankind' (which really is an abbreviation of 'humankind'). I have long wondered about these 'feminist men', and recently I did figure it out. Trudeau Jr. belongs to that ilk of men who cannot resist bitches! And, the reason they cannot resist bitches is because they are closet masochists, dreaming of dominatrices beating them within an inch of their lives, while threatening to cut off that useless piece of flesh which is the very definition of their manhood! So they grovel before their oppressors while telling sane women not to call humankind 'mankind'.

Take that, Trudeau Jr.! Quebecers rejected the Quebec Liberal Party, and liberalism in general, and they did it almost to a man!

The reason Quebec went the way of the CAQ is that, for the first time in two generations, a political party stepped to the fore and offered a conservative way of protecting the province's cultural identity, plus a platform that did not depend upon the 'sovereignty' issue for its life force. Quebecers are sick to death of that old issue. However, I also believe that the tipping point came when Quebec became the target of mass illegal migration from the US this past year (after that idiot Trudeau Jr. basically issued an open invitation to illegals). We only needed one taste of that in order to know what a putrid mass of sewage came flowing over our border.

One prime example is the couple who, after illegally entering Canadian (and Quebecois!) territory, announced that they were going to drag the Quebec government in front of the international court of human rights because they could not get space in one of our government subsidized daycares! Spaces in those daycares is, in reality, limited - even legitimate Quebecers can't get their offspring into them at will. There are such things as waiting lists, and, if what someone I knew who had just opened a daycare told me is true, subsidies have even been cut. Yet, this human sewage demands to get what even Quebecers are denied, and threatens the government of the province that is hosting them despite the fact that they are here illegally with legal action in an international court. Talk about ingratitude, arrogance, and a generally stinking attitude!

So, the province voted in the CAQ with a huge majority. And, like the Trump victory south of the border, the pollsters got it badly wrong. While visions of Liberals holding on to power with a majority danced through their heads, the reality on the ground, however, was a massive outcry of 'va te faire foutre!' ('go fuck yourself!'). Yes, even some Anglos (English speaking Quebecers) voted CAQ 😉. But... sadly many Anglos, used and abused by the Liberal party that took their support for granted, chose to simply abstain from voting. I presume that they did so because their own press terrorized them with dire scenarios of what a CAQ government had in store for them. Another group of Anglos dutifully turned out at the polls and voted for their abuser like dutiful little victims in abusive relationships... .

Yes, sad as it is, these pathetic individuals (my family among them) simply threw up their hands and exclaimed 'who else can we vote for?'. Duh! How about for someone who hasn't butt-fucked you time and again? Take a chance on someone new, and maybe something good will happen for once. Maybe not. But, considering what has happened in the past, I'm ready to take that risk.

The morning after the election something happened that surprised even my jaded self: the Anlgo press began blaming English-speaking Quebecers for the Liberals losing the election! Yes, it was because so many Anglos chose not to vote that the Liberals lost! Not their policies, not the mess they had made of the health care system, and not their support of Trudeau Jr.'s wacky agenda! No, it was Anglos who were to blame because they didn't vote Liberal.

If wasn't enough to get my goat, the CBC really pissed me off just yesterday by running a piece with a headline that screamed something to the effect that the new CAQ health minister was planning on more cuts to the health care system. That left me scratching my head because I'd actually listened to her doing her interview on Radio Canada, and I'd heard no such thing. It would take considerable twisting of the words she'd used in order to come up with that story, which is precisely what the CBC reporter did, and did in the interest of fomenting distrust of the new government.

Well, all I can say is that what is playing out here is exactly what has been playing out elsewhere in the world. Blaming the people who chose not to vote for their own defeat, twisting words, and so on and so forth... . Fortunately, this is Quebec. We have a culture here that has faced so many threats to its identity that the people are not push-overs for that sort bullshit. I foresee a future where Quebec might be one of the few bastions of sanity in a world that has gone totally insane.

How refreshing! Until now, Quebec has always been seen as Canada's basket case... .
