Artaban postanowił wykupić ich ostatnim trzecim kamieniem. Bez żadnych kosztowności dalej wędrował po świecie szukając Jezusa i pomagając innym. Kiedy dotarł do portu widział, że ojciec rodziny ma odpokutować swoje winy jako wioślarz. Król Artaban zaoferował samego siebie zamiast nie. I tak przez wiele lat był wioślarzem na łodzi.
