Not sure, but if you've upvoted then resteeming helps get more awareness of the upvoted post....more awareness could equal more upvotes for that post therefore larger percentage of the curation rewards pool for you. I resteem a lot because I upvote a lot for curation rewards, however small, they add up over time.
