Police shootings - Problem or Media driven
A black therapist was shot in North Miami Beach while attending to a patient who was playing with a toy car in the street. The therapist was laying in the street with hands up and explained his position to police who were approaching with guns drawn. The police received a report that there was someone spotted with a gun. Hence their decision to approach in the ready position with guns drawn. The patient who had the toy car was unharmed and the therapist was shot in the leg. No gun was found. Your thoughts.
I definitely think that the media is fanning the flames. Not saying that there isn't a problem, but I do think that a mental mindset is trying to be instilled in the public in general by the government and the media outlets. There are great cops out there and the bad ones are being shown over the good ones. I think that the situation with the therapist is a case of poor police training. Knee-jerk reactions are very bad and I think that's what this was
