This might sound silly. Any chance we can get those times in the announcement to display the time in Eastern Standard time as well. It's petty but I get confused on that and I've literally missed a time because of the whole trying to convert the two. I ended up being in the room but I don't think it was more than 3 people in there. I entered the area before the table and seems like the other person was non respondent. The time messed me up a bit.
It's a fair point. It's a bit more standard in the US to list them as EST/PST. CDT is flyover nonsense =)

Actually, sometimes we'll make you change it to EST and then NOT show up, because come on, there was free beer in the East Village tonight.

Can any one teach me how to play?
@flightgod have you played any sort of Poker before? It uses Poker hands, so if you know Pair, Straight, Full House, Flush, etc. in advance it makes it much easier to teach. But what makes Hold 'Em so much fun imo is how easy it is to pick up the basics and that everyone is playing off of the same 5 community cards. From there though it's amazing how advanced it can get at high levels, knowing statistics/figuring out odds on the fly, bluffing, playing your position, etc. Let me know if you've ever played any sort of Poker, it'll be easier if so for someone to explain.

Do you have to be a certain level here on steemit to play?
Depends on the league, but generally, you'll probably be OK. I think there may be for the pro league, which is separate.
The only thing you need to do is make an introduction post so we can verify you are not a sockpuppet account. :)
