Art is such a wonderful thing, so does love. It constitutes a lot such as painting, dance, music, theater, and writing. I've read a few novels to which I found happiness and pleasure in reading them but, I find it most when reading poetry.

Poetry hides the real intention but reveals it all the same. It gives you an entirely new feeling, an ecstasy of searching the meaning, a belief that a particular poem says something more than we see. The styles used in poetry, the way it is weaved together, carries out a masterpiece that is formed to make the reader feel something. It is to move him through words. It is to establish connection. The author can easily drag the reader into his world using only a few lines and that, my fellow Steemians, is what the great poets of this world have achieved.

I'm not much when it comes to writing poetry. While sorting through my files, I accidentally stumbled upon some pieces I wrote over the years which made me decide to look for the others too. I am an awful keeper. I have pieces on my phone, on my tweets, photo captions, on my email, on some text messages I send to people, on scratch papers, journals, notebooks. Basically, I write whatever medium is available. A number of times I tried to organize them but to no avail.

Here are a few pieces which I would like to share to everyone. I hope you like them and please share what you think on the comment section. Critiques are very much appreciated.

1. 2 AM Thoughts

It was 2 AM and yet she was awake
Her eyes were heavy
And so was her heart

It was 3 AM and she kept on writing
Reading and writing
Of things that tear her apart

It was 4 AM and her voice is in a whisper
Lulling herself to sleep
Tomorrow’s a brand new start

2. Magic

The magic I was exposed to
as a child
was done by clowns
or magicians on tv
but
the moment I looked at you
I felt magic
bright little lights of yellow
forming and glowing inside me.

3. Choices

From dust to dawn I see your face
What I'm in is a guessing game
It's either you love me
Or you don't.

Life has turned its back to me
When all of a sudden you chose number three
You don't love me
And you won't.

4. As A Poet & A Person

Tonight,
I lost words
And
It created waterfalls
From my eyes.

I found these four worthy to be shared. I hope you find something in them like a feeling or a drive to do something. I have yet to find guts to share everything but I will continue writing to my heart's content. Thank you for reading this post!

That is the truth. I have often said that poetry is a type of encryption, and everybody has a means to decipher the message. The catch is that the deciphered message is always correct, yet never the same. Thanks for sharing.
