Poem On The "History" Of Africa
I had a friend challenge me to write something on the history of Africa and I accepted. This poem is more like a free verse that dives into the possible ancient history of Africa. I hope you enjoy.

Back before science recorded the Moors, Carthage and Pyramid floors
The Mali Empire, Aksum and the Great Zimbabwe wars
There was a world, pre-flood that history ignores
Lost in the sands of time… But the mystery endures
The gods of the Greeks were once African Kings
Legends through speech and oceanic trafficking
Stories of Osiris, Poseidon and a fire-breathing sigh of chimera
History has been lying; Atlantis is now the eye of the Sahara
Evidence in plane sight, pyramids aren’t aged right
Lady of Mali stands calmly and knows no stage fright
Ethiopian churches built out of daylight, the sage night
Let the Lion look to the East
Desert washed up from the West
Up North Alexandria light up the sea
Good Hope in the South is best
Heart of diamonds, people are the soul
So many mysteries that history hasn’t told
Let me know what you think.
I appreciate you reading.

What is a good place for tourists in Africa that is not touristy? Havent considerd going there yet.
Ethiopia would be a sweet spot. I want to go there a lot. Many ancient sites and possible resting site of Ark of Covenant.
I have heard that the country of Botswana is a good place for ‘tripsters’ (people who brag about not going to the mostly well-known vacation spots, the ‘trip-hipsters’).
I would imagine most places in Africa, excluding the big cities like Johannesburg and places like the Pyramids of Giza, are not very touristy.
