I believe the tree in enslaved.
Enslaved by its life, by its roots.
To bear beautiful life,
And watch it fall to rest at its feet.
Which is why I wish to be the leaf.
To grow amongst my siblings,
Fight the cold, heat and rain,
And wave goodbye as I gracefully fall to sleep.
The tree is a mother,
Witnessing the death of all her offspring,
And for an entire season they die surrounding her.
In this moment the mother must long for freedom.
