Life & Death Haikus: Unlocked (Original Poem)

in #poetry7 years ago (edited)

Inner death sentence
Relinquished by divine love
Smiting Death himself...

Each day passes and a new one arrives. How beautiful life is that God allows me to continue to live and move forward day by day. But I know He can take it away from me at any given time but I have so much work to do for God's kingdom. I am glad He has still use for me with the gifts talents and skills He has granted me to utilize and hone towards many forms of success. Death is always looming near to remind us that we are mortal and not gods, and it is a needed reminder because our egos often need to be checked and regulated. Too often are we so high and mighty in our securities that we feel we are invincible from God's judgement and even consequences and punishments from authority here on earth, but how much of a lie that is. We are and will be held accountable for our actions, and if we truly want to be forgiven from our sins then we must truly repent and turn around to become a better person. But it is not the acts of goodness or righteousness that get us into heaven united with God, it is simply the acceptance of Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour and accepting the blood of His sacrifice...

"But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead."
(King James Version Bible - Book 2 Corinthians: Chapter : 1 Verse: 9)

Regarding Jesus Christ, Our Lord & Saviour)

"15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God."

(King James Version Bible - Book John: Chapter 3: Verse: 15-21)

Thank you for sharing such a heartfelt poem and message to everyone. Every now and then, I need to read this type of messages as it soothes my soul.
Anyhow, I am happy for all the days of my life as God has been with me all throughout. His love and care for us and never ending. Oh how good and pleasant it is to be reminded of his greatness in our lives. Have a blessed day!

Thank you for your kind words and thoughts. I too am happy and content. The soul needs constant soothing in this dark world for sure. God bless you

The last quote is so meaningful: " The people who need change the most are the ones who are making it happen." I believe those are words to live by!

Powerful Haiku @verbal-d

But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead.

We cannot trust in our mere selves for it is only by his blood that we are redeemed. The blood that cleanseth and washeth away. The blood that broke the chains at calvary and gained victory over death. The blood that reedems us all from the grasp of sin not putting into consideration race, gender or social status.

That blood is still here and very much available. And it was all from the love of Him who loved us unconditionally. Loved us enough to relinquish death on our behalf.

Thank you very much @gamsam,
I really liked your Abdul entry from last week.
You speak some wise words here and yes The blood of Christ covers us if we accept it. Glad you are saved bro. God bless you

yeah God created nothing waste in this world, and this we can't decline that everything is martial except God ,then we should use our precious time which God has given us in this world in doing some good deeds

Yes indeed, time is precious and we must not waste anything, wise words @abeera, thanks for sharing your thoughts
