A mother's love

Sturdy, calloused hands,
softness now gone.
Skin soft as silk,
now rough and coarse.
Just to give us a future
bright as the sun.

To sacrifice everything
she is willing to do
for her children is her world.
She will stop at nothing
to give us the best.
For a mother's love is great,
greater than this earth.

She will hold our hands
when everyone else is gone.
She will wipe the tears
flowing down our eyes.
Accepting all the pain
for a mother's love is great.
A love greater than anything.
