My Family Tree | (Original Poem)
why are you leaving me?
Am I not to your liking
Is something wrong with me?
I'm part of you, too
So please don't walk away
I'll be lonely without you
what about you?
Can't you hear my begging
This painful goodbye won't you undo?
I'm holding back my sobs
I clutch a hand against my chest
as my heart painfully throbs
Please hold me and love me
At least for a while
stay right beside me
It may be something that I've done
But please give me this moment
to remember you by when you're both gone
Mommy, Daddy, stay right beside me
