I just took a hit on some pretty good shit - an original poem
I just took a hit on some pretty good shit
Consciousness hugely expanded
The sand on the beach shining gold under feet
Me feeling mellow and grounded
My body absorbs sun and sand honey gold
I radiate from within
At one with the beach and the trees on the shore
Want to stay in this place ever more
Metallic blue sea calls out to me
Come for a swim you need to cool down
But i have to desist feel i need to resist
Avoid dousing the flame from within
The trees catch my eyes i see movement im sure
Vines writhing like snakes in a cave
I get closer and see they are beckoning me
Friendly serpents knotted and tied
But these are not roots they are the tree folks
I see faces and bodies and more
Recognition abounds and i just can’t believe
I never noticed these little fellas before
Sun kissed god face appears looking mellow and sage
Welcoming me to his world
Namaste i say but he doesn’t engage
A meeting of minds is enough
