I love the repetition and your use of refrain. Each time you use the refrain "With silence, we silenced them ......... then silenced" the lines gather more momentum and gravity, lending power to diction and sentence structure of the rest of the piece. In a way, it reminds me of T.S. Eliot's "The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock." Regardless, I enjoyed the piece and look forward to the next one.
