Leap of Faith
This poem is a dedication to all those who did not give up in the eye of misery, who did not give up when they felt dejected, downtrodden and alone.
When the hope was bleak they did not let it be the end of them. This poem is also for all those out there who feel the negative feelings such as life has no meaning and ending it would help them on any level. We are not cowards!

Rises this new one.
Ripe from the tears is this pain anew?
Writhing in this agony I ask oh how
She got quite there.
Was it the love or the world as such
The race for money or the race for power,
Or was it just a cry, a scream, escaping her trodden psyche.
She held herself through every blockage,
Even in the midst of those dark storms
They shook her soul and they shook her being,
But they couldn’t shatter her!
For how to shatter what is vapor itself,
It rises with the heat and flows with the cold.
Ever powerful she thought she was becoming
False notions though are but any human’s practice.
And then the darkest of the storm came
She fell, she got up and then she fell again,
The world turned blurry and there wasn’t a life to be seen around her
Scared and dropped to her knees she screamed
Doom now seemed inevitable,
Waiting for someone to hold their hand out
On the bridge of choice.
There were none, but there were voices
“Let it break you, what is their to live for” said one
“Life is a gift, Live it, embrace it, enjoy the good and the bad times” said the other,
Alone how far would she get
Or so she thought
On the brim of dilemma that thought brought
Live or give up, for living is too hard
And is as bad as death.
But living brings hope,
Living brings opportunity,
Living brings a sunshine which gloomy death never could,
Living perhaps was going to get her that hand, which hold perhaps she would.
And so she took a leap of faith
And jumped to the other side,
What happened next?
She emerged strong, and that turned out to be one hell of a ride.
