Reality Check

He awoke from a dream only to find himself dreaming.
Unaware of his reality he believed what he was seeing.
He could feel the air, and hear many voices.
He was tempted by fate with good, and bad choices.

Decisions, decisions, perception and myth.
Confusion, illusions, he pleaded the fifth.
Intrigued by the world he began to explore.
Traveling to places he'd never seen before.

Trying to make sense of the things he observed,
he came to a conclusion that sounded absurd.
This was reality, this was his truth,
he was convinced in his ways, he had nothing to prove.

Then one day a man walked into his life,
telling stories of controversy, struggle, and strife.
The words of the man resonated within,
changing his perception, he was living in sin.

The information given changed what he believed to be true,
accepting the fact that there were things he never knew.
Provoked by information, he wished to know more,
so he began on his journey, he was ready for war.

Gaining knowledge, and wisdom, he prepared for the fight.
He would study all day, and study all night.
Feeling content with his research it inspired his soul.
He must share the hidden information, and the secrets they stole.

Educating the people with the things that he learned,
was the only thing on his mind, it was his only concern.
But as he began to speak, nobody would listen.
That is when he knew it would be a bountiful mission.

Planting his seeds, slowly people caught on,
realizing the things they believed were all wrong.
Together united, they shattered the dream from within,
together united, their new lives would begin.
