Poem / Everything Changes
We're all gonna die... That's the only real assurance of this life... 1 day you're here, and the next you're not... Life changes in the blink of an eye and you become a fading memory... It doesn't matter what you have in life, what matters is what you've done, the impact you make on others lives, on the world as a whole... We're so preoccupied with planning for the future, that we forget about the moment... We waste time putting things off til tomorrow, because we have a false sense of security that we'll have time... But, what if you don't? What if you stopped and really thought about things... What if you looked yourself in the mirror every night and asked yourself "Am I happy with what I'm leaving behind?" What if you went to sleep with the realization, that you may not wake up? What if you lived your life, like you wouldn't?
What if you stopped to realize, that on the opposite end of the spectrum is the reality, that you may wake up tomorrow, but what if the people you take for granted, don't... and you're left with memories of times shared, and plans that will never have a chance to be?
Life is too short, but yet, as much as we are reminded of this, we still take it for granted...
