Like the sudden disruption of a calm lake
Hit by a fast falling meteorite

For which even shock absorbers

When happenstance meets unpreparedness
As when death comes a calling
On he who lives everyday
Like it’s his first

When the unimaginable manifests itself
With the swiftness of a blink
Goliath certainly had a surprised look
As he fell to David’s slingshot

A window to exploit vulnerability
Indeed by the element of surprise
Mighty armies of renown
Lie fallen by the sword of the weak
Surprise…
That component of life
That leaves you with a pleasant feeling
When suddenly you happen on that bend
You initially thought was your end

While you hope for the best
Prepare for the worst
