I want to do the right thing (Original Poem)

I want to do the right thing
but it can be so hard with a broken heart.
Ever since I lost you,
my mind's been shifting worlds apart.
I wish I wasn't like this,
trying to drink the pain away.
Maybe I'll die a young man
cause things weren't meant to be this way.
