The Night Sky
I find myself gazing at the night sky while it kisses me with tiny droplets and induces me with gratitude. The night-sky has always been my best confidante.
I'm reminded of a poem that I wrote when I was seventeen! Here it is :)
A sleepless night, kept awake by anxiety, leaves me engrossed in disturbing thoughts of past events. The poem presents various states of mind and its physical outcomes, as it drifts through, ultimately docking with the reality of living with hope. Wisdom dawns and I get to sleep for a while.
The Night Sky
I am seated here
Beneath the star studded sky,
Enveloped by fear
“What might be, oh my!”.
Tears trickle down my cheek,
To control feelings as I try;
About life, to myself I speak,
And decide why I shouldn’t cry.
Looking through the window pane,
I sigh at my past;
What happened then,
And how I overcame it so fast.
“Look beyond sorrow and then find,
Ahead lies future fertile;
Rather sow the sprouts of fresh mind
Than dig the barren past, futile.”
Back to bed as I make my way,
I glance, for a last time at the sky
Because here I do wish to stay
And imbibe wisdom till I die.
Beautiful, I also got to enjoy a pretty sunset this evening.. I posted it if you'd like to see it :)
I'd love to see it :)
