 My Soul Whispers

I hear a familiar voice whispering to me.
I look around but there's no one to see.
An invisible hand points me to you
As you walk towards me.
A forgotten longing rises inside me
As distant memories spark to life.
My soul, the familiar voice, whispers silently to me ...
About a passionate love, transcending time and space
And of destiny forever binding us.
I wish to greet you, handsome stranger.
I want to embrace you but I falter.
He is but a stranger in waking life
With no memories of me.
But my soul whispers to me
To see into your eyes.
Seeing into your eyes, I smile.
Recognition is ablaze.
