Moon Lover (from my blog 'The Moon Artist')

I look to the stars and see the moon

I remember the night you and I met

The night that destiny had set

A night I would rather not forget so soon

We danced to nature's gentle tune

With you whispering into my ear

Your lips ever so near

Asking me for another dance beneath the moon

Your eyes suggested a different dance

Your forehead touched mine, lips nearly touching in a hover.

My heart raced as heat rushed to my face

To think such a thought had held me in a trance.

It was an entrancing thought, my sweet moon lover.
