empty memes, lonesome porn
detached relationships, solitary culture
unconnected media, isolating networks

A desolate civilization on the
event horizon, darkness visible
Society slides towards incoherence
Technology disempowers humanity

It doesn’t have to be this way
hollow beings, tedious orgasms
divided sexes, aloof awareness
fragmented mind, disengage perception

Everyone is asking how we got here
As if this was random, It is not. Our culture
Is composed more of mediated experiences
Than of directly live ones. We are more
Alone & atomized than ever before.

We have turned our technical & cultural tools
from forces for human connection & expression
Into ones of isolation & repression

They are replacing and devaluing our humanity,
And in many different ways - undermining
Our respect for one another and ourselves,
This is by design, It doesn’t have to be this way

The Social Engineers of this dying world
See us as the problem, technology as the solution.
They are building intelligences to replace us
But we can steer technology toward extending
Our human capabilities and collective power

We are capable of transcending the last days
of reality, reconnecting to one another, and
redesigning society towards human ends
rather than the end of humans.

It’s time to stop denying our roles as
Creative collaborators of reality, this is
our chance, it doesn’t have to be this way

We have not been forsaken
This is all of our own making
Anything that brings us together
Cultivates the human spirit
