A Stranger's Tide- Poetry from the Helm of The U.S.S. MinnowPROSE!
Or can we just go ahead and mate.
Friends or enemies, you decide.
All I ask is don't be snide.
Logic dictates that we can slide.
On our bellies or on our side.
Legs below, or just behind.
Will you end up left besides.
The road we travel the road we hate.
Each step bringing only heartache.
Mind and body, heart and soul.
Bare it all, to the bloody snow.
Flakes of russet or is it vital.
Never to rest on broken bones.
Rust takes hold and brings us all low.
Down to the mouth of sharks below.

I had to wait for a break in reading. Because when we're finished, we'll start reading again. Good Continue
@sammoks this poem is like a steemian story that wants to wake up without the help of anyone to increase its income from what it gives every day.
I liked this one. Normally I enjoy and write dark poetry but branching off from it myself and reading pleasant stuff too :)
When you say "Rust takes hold and brings us all low.", are you referring to ego/pride creeping up on us and bringing us down or the eventuality of life that is death?
